The replacement 390ci V8 was built and installed in 1999 by Rhyne Competition Engines, and features a .030″ overbore, Clevite bearings, forged pistons, ARP bolts, a Crane camshaft and lifters, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, a Melling high-volume oil pump, a Griffin aluminum radiator, Hooker headers, and finned Cobra valve covers. It is topped by a Ford 427 dual-quad low-riser intake and dual four-barrel Holley carburetors. Service in preparation for sale have included rebuilding the carburetors, changing the oil, and replacing the valve cover gaskets, rear main seal, and spark plugs and wires.Power is routed to the rear wheels through a replacement Toploader four-speed manual transmission mated to a limited-slip differential with Yukon 3.70:1 gears and a 31-spline axle. the 9″ Ford rear differential was replaced in March 2024, and the clutch was replaced in April of the same year. The U-joints were replaced.The woodgrain steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for amperage, fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, total mileage is unknown.
