The 5.0-liter V8 was sourced from a 1989 Mustang and is dressed in the style of a HiPo 289ci engine.

Equipment includes a Holley carburetor with a chrome air cleaner housing, cast-iron exhaust manifolds, a 2.25″ exhaust system with a crossover pipe and stainless-steel mufflers.

The valve springs were replaced in 2016, the engine and transmission were removed and reinstalled following detailing in 2017, at which time the camshaft was replaced.

The engine bay also features a Monte Carlo bar, a factory-style radiator, and a FoMoCo-branded windshield-washer bag.

A Tremec T5 five-speed manual transmission has been installed along with a 9″ rear axle from a 1978 Lincoln, which was fitted with a 3.50:1 limited-slip differential in 2017.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and four auxiliary gauges as well as a Rally Pac gauge pod on the steering column with a 6k-rpm tachometer and an analog clock.

The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, TMU.
