The 255ci flathead V8 was sourced from a 1953 Mercury and is equipped with Offenhauser aluminum cylinder heads, and the engine is topped with three Stromberg 97 downdraft carburetors with matching filter housings and an Offenhauser intake manifold.
Further additions include an Isky 400 JR camshaft, a Mallory ignition module, an aluminum radiator equipped with an electric fan, exhaust headers from Fenton Headers, and a polished stainless-steel exhaust system.
Cosmetic details unique to the Deluxe included a low pointed grille with vertical bars as well as headlights spaced further apart and lower on the fenders when compared to the Standard model.
The steel body on this example was refinished in Corvette-specification Torch Red during the refurbishment.
The suite of Classic Instruments gauges includes a 120-mph speedometer flanked by a tachometer and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage.
The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 3k miles, total mileage is unknown.
