This 1964 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk is powered by a supercharged 289ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.The interior is trimmed in green vinyl and cloth upholstery, and additional equipment includes wheel covers, power steering, front disc brakes, bright trim, a dual exhaust system, and a push-button AM/FM radio.Studebaker produced 1,548 V8-powered examples of the Gran Turismo Hawk for 1964, 70 of which have been equipped with the R2 supercharged engine.This car is the only example for the model year that was equipped with the R2 engine and finished from the factory in Horizon Green.It was repainted and refinished again in its current shade of green.Additional work included replating and polishing the chrome and stainless-steel trim and also replacing the rubber seals.Exterior details include tinted glass, a left-side mirror, quarter vent windows, Gran Turismo door badges, and dual exhaust outlets.White-painted 15″ steel wheels feature bright covers and are mounted with 215/75 Hankook Optimo H724 whitewall tires.The car is equipped with power steering and rear traction and stabilizer bars, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.The cabin houses low-back front bucket seats and a rear bench have been reupholstered in green vinyl with patterned cloth inserts.The carpets were also replaced, and color-coordinated door panels are complemented by woodgrain trim on the dashboard and on the door and side panels.Additional appointments include front lap belts, a heater, front and rear center armrests, a locking glovebox, and a rebuilt push-button AM/FM radio.The two-spoke steering wheel features a half horn ring and fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline, a rebuilt analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, amperage, and oil pressure.The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles.
