This 1978 Jeep CJ-5 is finished in red with multi-color graphics over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 304ci V8 linked with a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.Equipment includes a Dana 30 front axle and an AMC 20 rear axle, a black soft top and doors, 15″ aluminum wheels, 35″ tires, a suspension lift, a Skyjacker steering stabilizer and shocks, a dual exhaust system, a Badland winch, and a padded roll bar.The truck was finished from the factory in Firecracker Red (6P).Exterior details include a removable black soft top and doors, a black-finished front bumper, front tow hooks, black wheel-arch flares, and bright-finished dual exhaust outlets that exit behind the rear tires.The front turn-signal lenses and the rear taillights have been replaced, and additional exterior work included the installation of a Badland ZXR 12000 winch, side mirrors, replacement plastic door and soft-top windows, and a black spare-tire cover.Polished 15″ American Racing aluminum wheels are mounted with 35×12.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires.A full-size spare is attached to the tailgate.The suspension is fitted with polyurethane bushings and have been lifted 2½” and converted to a spring-over-axle configuration with Warn manually locking front hubs.The steering shaft was replaced, and Skyjacker shocks were installed, along with replacement front springs and wheel-center caps.The truck is further equipped with power steering, and braking is from power-assisted front discs and rear drums.The brake master cylinder, the front brake rotors and pads, and the rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders were replaced and braided stainless-steel brake lines were installed.The cabin houses a pair of high-back bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl, and additional features include lap belts, a heater/defroster, a passenger grab handle, and a padded roll bar.The seats were reupholstered, the glovebox liner was replaced, and roll-bar padding was installed.The truck is also fitted with a push-button AM/FM radio.A three-spoke steering wheel with a padded black rim is mounted on a tilting column and fronts a painted dashboard that houses a central 90-mph speedometer with inset gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an ammeter, and additional individual gauges displaying coolant temperature and oil pressure.The five-digit odometer shows just over 94k miles, true mileage is unknown.
