This 1940 Ford Deluxe Tudor Sedan was modified in the mid-2000s in a build that included a repaint in blue over a reupholstered gray cloth interior and the installation of a GM 327ci V8, a three-speed automatic transmission, and a Ford 8″ rear end.
Additional modifications included a Mustang II front end with power rack-and-pinion steering and power front disc brakes as well as air conditioning and power windows.
A subsequent service included replacing the front brake rotors, master and rear wheel brake cylinders, control arms, alternator, front tires, and fuel-tank sending unit as well as changing the oil, flushing the brakes, repacking the front wheel bearings, lowering the rear end by 2″, and installing a front coil spring ride-height adjustment kit, front and rear sway bars, an aluminum radiator, exhaust resonators, and a CD receiver.
The car is finished in blue and features pontoon fenders with running boards, chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, bright beltline moldings, a split rear window, downturned chrome exhaust tips, and a license plate bracket with an LED third brake light and turn indicators.
The trunk-lid handle has been shaved, and the trunk opens by way of a switch located at the lower left corner of the rear seat.
Red-painted 15″ steel wheels with chrome trim rings and branded hubcaps are wrapped in 185/65 Diamond Back Classic whitewall tires.
Braking is from power-assisted discs up front and drums at the rear, and service in 2023 included replacing the front rotors and rear wheel cylinders.
A dual master cylinder was installed in 2022.
Suspension is provided by a Mustang II front end with power rack-and pinion steering as well as Chassis Engineering rear leaf springs with replacement lower control arms and tube shocks.
Service in 2023 included replacing the front control arms and installing a coil spring ride-height adjustment kit.
The leaf springs were fitted with 2″ lowering blocks in 2022, at which time front and rear sway bars were fitted.
The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in gray fabric along with a matching headliner and door panels, a body-colored painted dash, and darker gray carpeting.
Amenities include Vintage Air heating and air conditioning, power windows, front and rear lap belts, and a glovebox-mounted Alpine CD receiver with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, and kick-panel speakers.
A leather-wrapped banjo-style steering wheel sits atop a tilting column and fronts a billet instrument panel housing a 140-mph TPI-Tech speedometer as well as matching auxiliary gauges and a digital odometer showing 1,500 miles.
