This 1961 Aston Martin DB4 is a left-hand-drive Series III example that was delivered new to Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, the first Prime Minister of Bahrain and a member of the Bahraini royal family, on July 25, 1961.

It was gifted to Mr. H.H. Arnold, the President of the Bahrain Petroleum Company, on December 31, 1963.

Power comes from a numbers-matching 3.7L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and the car is finished in Fiesta Red over White Gold Connolly leather upholstery.

Equipment includes a 3.77:1 Powr-Lok limited-slip differential, a radiator curtain, Marchal fog lamps, a Motorola AM radio with a power antenna, and 16″ chrome wire wheels.

The DB4 featured a lightweight Superleggera body penned by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan, Italy.

Approximately 165 Series III cars were produced between April and September 1961 featuring triple cluster taillights fitted on a chrome plate, among other interior and mechanical updates.

This example was delivered from the factory in Fiesta Red and is believed to have been repainted in early 1980s.

Features include open headlights, Marchal fog lamps, polished bumpers with overriders, a hood scoop, Talbot-style side-view mirrors, a power antenna, and fender vents with chrome accents.

A radiator curtain is installed, and Khalifa lettering is affixed to the decklid.

Front and rear Bahrain license plates are retained.

The chrome wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 6.00-16 General whitewall bias-ply tires that were installed in 2023.

A matching spare wheel with a Firestone tire is mounted under the trunk floor.

Braking is handled by four-wheel discs, and the brake cylinders were rebuilt in 2023.

The cabin features low-back bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in White Gold Connolly leather with matching door panels and tan carpets.

Equipment includes a factory-installed Motorola 808 AM radio, a heater, a Smiths clock, front three-point seat belts, and rear lap belts.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 6k-rpm tachometer and a 160-mph speedometer.

Just over 8k miles are shown on the five-digit odometer.
