This 1942 Ford Super Deluxe convertible is a modified example that is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8 paired with a three-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission.
Finished in burgundy over a two-tone red and tan interior, the car has been fitted with power steering, front disc brakes, a 20-gallon fuel tank, an aftermarket exhaust system, and a 9″ rear end.
The exterior was repainted burgundy during the 2010-2014 refurbishment, and features include aluminum running boards, chrome trim, a driver-side mirror, and front and rear bumpers with overriders.
Body-colored 15” steel wheels feature chrome trim rings and hubcaps, and the Coker Classic wide whitewall tires measure 195/60 in front and 235/75 out back.
The suspension has been modified with a Magnum front axle and spindles, and braking is handled by TCI front discs with a Wilwood proportioning valve and a Mustang “fruit jar” master cylinder.
The cabin features bench seats equipped with lap belts and trimmed in red and tan leather and cloth, along with matching door panels and tweed carpet.
Amenities include an AM radio and power steering.
A red two-spoke Lecarra steering wheel fronts a color-matched dashboard which houses instrumentation consisting of a 100-mph speedometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, battery charge, and coolant temperature.
The five-digit odometer shows just over 2k miles, total mileage is unknown.
