This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 was ordered new in January 1970.

Finished in Medium Red paint over Black Rhino/Corinthian vinyl, the car is powered by a 302ci V8 and also features a wide-ratio four-speed manual transmission, an optional Shaker hood, and a 4.30:1 locking differential.

The 302ci V8 breathes through a factory-optional Shaker hood scoop and was rated at 290 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new.

The engine was revised for the 1970 model year with finned aluminum rocker covers and smaller intake valves than the preceding year.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via the optional wide-ratio four-speed manual transmission and 4.30:1 locking differential.

The refurbished bodywork is finished in Medium Red (2008-A) with black “hockey stick” graphics on both sides.

The deck lid, taillight panel, hood center section, front and rear spoilers, and rear-window louvers are finished in matte black.

The front end was revised for 1970 with dual headlights and vents outboard of the grille and lights.

Factory 15″ wheels wear polished trim rings, Ford center caps, and Goodyear Polyglas GT tires measuring F60-15 all around.

The vinyl pin stripe on the driver-side front fender has had a small repair on the section just below the “2” in “302.”

The cabin features refurbished front bucket seats trimmed in Black Rhino/Corinthian vinyl, with matching door panels, plastics, and carpets.

Other interior equipment includes a two-spoke steering wheel, a 120-mph speedometer, factory radio-delete panel, and Hurst shifter.

The odometer shows 52k miles.
