This 1966 Ford Mustang is powered by a Hi-Po 289ci K-code V8 paired with a four-speed manual gearbox.The 289ci Hi-Po V8 has a four-barrel carburetor.The chrome valve covers and air-cleaner lid were factory dress-up items standard on the K-code 289.An oil and filter change was done in May 2023.Items replaced included: Rear main seal, Oil-pan gasket, Heater core, Battery and cables, Alternator, Starter, Points and condenser, Distributor cap, rotor, and spark plugs, Radiator and hoses.Finished in Nightmist Blue over a Parchment interior, this Mustang was ordered with factory options including the GT equipment package, interior decor group, visibility group, special handling package, styled steel wheels, and Rally-Pac clock/tachometer.The rear quarter-window seals were replaced in 2011, and a new driver-side taillight assembly was installed in 2018.The white lower-body stripes, GT badges, dual exhaust, and foglamps were part of the GT equipment package.14″ styled steel wheels are mounted with Coker Classic dual-redline tires.This Mustang is equipped with front disc brakes; the brake master cylinder was replaced in 2019, and the front and rear brake hoses were replaced in 2020.The interior decor group included pony-pattern upholstery in Parchment vinyl, and the interior is accented with a blue dash pad, carpets, and deluxe seatbelts.The carpets were replaced.The optional Rally-Pac clock and tachometer are mounted on the steering column.The factory AM radio was swapped out for an aftermarket cassette stereo, and speakers have been mounted in the kick panels.The odometer shows more than 39k miles, although true mileage is unknown.
