This 1972 MG MGB was purchased in 2006 from a storage unit and received a refurbishment that was completed in 2008.The work included a rebuild of the 1.8L inline-four and 4-speed manual transmission, along with the addition of a supercharger, new brake and suspension components, an interior refresh, and more.The 5-main 1.8L inline-four was rebuilt with an overbore to .040 by Prather Racing.The work included all new components, a supercharger camshaft, and complete balancing and blue printing. A new Moss Motors supercharger kit, factory fuel pump, radiator, oil cooler, and more.The fuel tank, sender, fuel lines, wiring harness, and sub harness were replaced.Power is sent to the real wheels via a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive.A new stainless steel exhaust system, and new clutch master and slave cylinders were installed.The car has been driven approximately 900 miles since the last service, which included an oil/filter change and an inspection.In 2007 the car was disassembled and the body was media and sand blasted to bare metal.Body work included repairing poor welding, as well as repairing the front fenders, left door, valances, upper and lower deck panels, rear quarter panels, and trunk lid.A new driver’s side floor pan, rocker panels, and a used hood were also installed.A repaint in silver was then completed, and new chrome bumpers, grille, mirrors, door handles, and trim were fitted along with new lights and lenses.Some of the chrome side strips are said to have a few dents, and the taillight lenses have KU stickers on them.The Dayton chrome 14″ wire knock-off wheels wear Regatta tires. A new dark blue cloth soft top with boot was installed.The dark blue interior was redone with new door panels, dash, center arm rest, visors, seat belts, carpet, and switches.The upholstery on the seats was reconditioned, and new diaphragms and foam were added.An Alpine head unit was also fitted.The Smiths instrument cluster includes a 120-mph speedometer with a 5-digit odometer indicating 78k miles.
