This 1964 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is powered by a 1,320cc flat-four mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and finished in Gulf Blue over a blue and white interior.

The replacement 1,320cc flat-four was rebuilt in the early 2000s and features Mahle big bore pistons and cylinders, a Web Cam camshaft, HD valve springs, and chromoly pushrods.

Equipment included a new clutch, Optima battery, starter, voltage regulator, and Pertronix ignition components.

Also fitted were a rebuilt carburetor, fuel pump, oil pump, and generator.

Shifting is through a rebuilt 4-speed manual transaxle.

The engine oil was recently changed.

The rear floor pans were replaced during the refurbishment, and the underside surfaces have been coated with POR-15.

The car was refurbished in the early 2000s, with work including stripping the body and refinishing it in Gulf Blue (L390).

Items replaced since 2017 include the seals for the windows, doors, and lids as well as the front and rear glass.

Body-color steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps, trim rings, and Coker Classic whitewall tires.

The brakes and suspension were rebuilt during the early 2000s refurbishment, though more recent work included a brake fluid flush.

The interior was retrimmed in March 2019 with new white vinyl seat covers featuring blue cloth inserts over replacement padding.

Hushmat sound deadening was installed beneath the new charcoal square weave carpeting, which is protected by a set of Coco mats.

New white vinyl door panels and a black dash pad were installed at this time, and a perforated white vinyl headliner is also equipped.

Recently refurbished instrumentation is fronted by a reproduction leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The 5-digit odometer shows approximately 4,500 miles, which represent the distance driven since the completion of the refurbishment.

Total mileage is unknown.
