This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is powered by a numbers-matching 302ci V8.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a factory-optioned 9″ rear axle with a 4.30:1 gear ratio and a Detroit Locker.The 302ci V8 features a high-nickel block casting, four-bolt main-bearing caps, Hi-Po connecting rods, a forged crankshaft, a four-barrel carburetor, and high-flow cylinder heads.The engine was factory rated for 290 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 290 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm, and power is sent through a four-speed manual transmission to a 9″ rear end with 4.30:1 gears and a Detroit Locker differential.The engine and transmission were rebuilt and the water pump was recently replaced.The removed water pump will accompany the sale.The exterior is finished in Medium Blue Metallic (Q) and features body-matching mirror housings, a black hood and side stripes, and front and rear spoilers.The car was refinished in 2013 and aftermarket rear window louvers have been installed.The build sheet for the car shows chrome-finished Magnum 500 wheels were optioned.The 15″ wheels are currently mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.The 1970 Boss 302 came standard with a competition suspension, a quick-ratio steering box, and power disc brakes in the front.The interior features factory high-back bucket seats with black vinyl upholstery over black carpeting.A Hurst shifter is equipped alongside a Philco AM radio and climate controls on the center stack.The gauge cluster features factory instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and a five-digit odometer that shows 55k miles.
