The work included installation of a 5.3-liter LQ9 V8 and a six-speed 6L90 automatic transmission as well as a repaint in orange, powder-coating the frame in black, reconditioning the removable hardtop, and reupholstery of the interior in Highlander-style vinyl and plaid fabric.
The truck features 3.73:1 differentials, a limited-slip front end, a Brian Tooley camshaft and lifters, power steering and front disc brakes with hydroboost, a Rough Country suspension lift, 17″ aluminum wheels with 35″ tires, and Dakota Digital gauges.
The engine bay features a smoothed firewall and houses a replacement fuel-injected 5.3-liter LQ9 V8 that is date from 2011 and was installed using a Dirty Dingo crossmember.
The engine features a Brian Tooley Racing camshaft and lifters, an Eddie Motorsports serpentine pulley system, a Mattson’s aluminum radiator and air conditioning condenser, and a custom ECU tune.
A break-in oil change has been performed in preparation for sale.
The six-speed 6L90 automatic transmission was sourced from a 2011 one-ton Chevrolet truck.
Power is routed through a two-speed transfer case and 3.73:1 differentials, with the custom front featuring an Auburn Positraction unit and the rear stock.
The frame was sandblasted prior to being power-coated, and the underside of the body was finished to match the top sides.
A new fuel tank was fitted along with thermo-coated exhaust headers and Flowmaster Elite 50 mufflers.
The truck was repainted in orange and fitted with chrome front and rear bumpers as well as new front end trim.
The removable hardtop was repainted in white, and replacement moldings and window tint film were installed.
Polished 17″ Mickey Thompson aluminum wheels are mounted with 35×12.5″ Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires.
The truck has been lifted approximately 4″ using Rough Country suspension components.
Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums featuring a hydroboost setup driven by the power steering pump.
The front bucket seats and rear bench were reupholstered in period Highlander-style white vinyl and orange plaid.
Additional work consisted of replacing the carpet, windshield, door glass, and window regulators.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames Dakota Digital instruments including a tachometer and a 160-mph speedometer with an odometer showing 200 miles since installation.
