The rear-mounted 2.85L V6 was designed by Peugeot/Renault/Volvo (PRV) and built under contract for DMC.
The 5-speed manual gearbox was also PRV-designed.
The louvered engine cover on this car was recently refinished, and the alternator, radiator, fans, and fuel pump were replaced.
The fuel tank has also been cleaned and new fuel lines were installed.
Brakes were rebuilt, and the clutch and associated hydraulics were replaced at that time.
Door seals were recently replaced.
A new radiator was also installed, and the fuse box and other wiring were repaired.
The car rides slightly lower than stock over new KYB shocks and front lowering springs.

Giugiaro-designed bodywork is rendered in brushed stainless steel over a combination fiberglass/steel backbone chassis.
Around 9k DMC-12s were built, an estimated 6,500 of which are believed to still exist today.
The front and rear cowlings, windshield trim, and front and rear bumpers were recently refinished on this example, and rust was repaired on the front frame extensions in 2015.
