This 1966 Pontiac GTO hardtop is powered by a 389ci V8 fitted with triple two-barrel carburetors and paired with a two-speed automatic transmission.The 389ci V8 has been fitted with a Comp Cams camshaft and is topped by triple two-barrel carburetors, each of which utilizes a foam air cleaner.The oil was changed and the battery was replaced in 2023.An auxiliary electric fuel pump has been added.Power is delivered to the wheels through a two-speed automatic transmission and a 10-bolt rear end with a 3.07:1 final-drive ratio.The car was delivered new in Candlelite Cream (Y) and was refinished as part of a refurbishment completed in 2009.The dual exhaust features chrome finishers that terminate below the rear bumper, and other features include a hood scoop, bright lower-body trim, and GTO badging.Gray-finished 14″ Rally I steel wheels wear trim rings as well as center caps, and they are mounted with Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 white-letter tires.The brakes and steering were power-assisted from the factory, and discs were added up front during the refurbishment.The black interior was factory fitted with air conditioning and features front bucket seats, a rear bench, a center console, a padded dash, and a Pontiac-branded AM radio.The three-spoke steering wheel frames a woodgrain-trimmed instrument panel housing a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges.A Pontiac-branded intake manifold vacuum pressure gauge is mounted ahead of the shifter, and Stewart-Warner gauges for oil pressure and water temperature have been installed under the dash.The five-digit odometer shows just under 19k miles, true mileage is unknown.
