This 1966 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was completed on December 1, 1966 and distributed in the US through Jaguar Cars of New York.
The numbers-matching 4.2-liter inline-six is linked with a four-speed manual transmission, both of which have been rebuilt during the work.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features polished valve covers and triple SU carburetors.
The engine and cylinder head were rebuilt, and re-ground camshafts and upgraded pistons are said to have been installed at this time.
Additional replacement parts include the fuel pump, wiring harness, valves, springs, retainers, and valve guides.
The rotating assembly has been balanced.
Cylinder head stamping 7E11312–9 is shown above and matches the number listed on the chassis plate and the Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate.
The four-speed manual transmission is also said to have been overhauled with a replacement clutch, layshaft, synchro rings, bearings, and seals.
The flywheel was resurfaced, and the rear end reportedly rebuilt with 3.07:1 gearing.
Finished from the factory in Opalescent Dark Green, the car was repainted its current shade of metallic blue, and the window glass have been replaced at that time.
Exterior features include a dark blue soft top and body-color removable hardtop, a louvered hood, and glass headlight covers.
The polished 15” Dayton wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with 205/70 Bridgestone tires.
A full-size spare is found in the trunk.
Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears that have been overhauled.
The cabin was trimmed in black leather from the factory and has since been reupholstered in tan leather with a matching center console, door panels, and brown carpets.
