This 1963 Ford Falcon Futura began life as a 260ci V8-powered convertibl, and the car was subsequently refurbished and modified, which included rust repair, retrimming the interior, fitting Global West suspension components and Wilwood disc brakes, and installing a 347ci V8 crate engine and a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission.
The Tri Star Engines-built 347ci V8 crate engine was installed during the build, and equipment includes an Edelbrock intake topped with a Holley Sniper fuel injection unit, a Champion aluminum radiator, an oil cooler, and exhaust headers linked to a Magnaflow muffler.
Work conducted at the end of 2022 have included an oil change and replacement of the battery, which has been relocated to the trunk.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission sourced from Monster Transmission.
An application of undercoating was applied to the underside, the fuel tank was replaced, and further updates include welded subframe connectors, a Panhard bar, and Global West suspension components consisting of A-arms and adjustable coilovers up front and double-adjustable shocks and lowering springs out back.
The car was refinished in white, and subsequent work have included rust repair on portions of the floor and undercarriage.
Equipment includes a replacement black convertible soft top with a matching boot cover, side mirrors, a dual-exit exhaust system, and chrome trim on the bumpers, grille, side moldings, and light bezels.
Coys 17″ wheels wear 225/45 Toyo Extensa HP tires.
Braking is handled by Wilwood six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers with drilled and slotted discs at all four corners.
The interior features modified later Mustang-sourced front bucket seats and a rear bench clad in black upholstery with coordinated stitching and channeled inserts.
Replacement black carpeting is installed over aftermarket sound insulation, and additional features include a 1967 Mustang center console and a three-spoke steering wheel.
Replacement Stewart-Warner gauges feature a six-digit odometer indicating that approximately 2,400 miles have been driven since completion of the build.
