This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible was refurbished and modified, work during the refurbishment included refinishing the exterior in black with white stripes, replacing the black convertible top, refreshing the interior with black vinyl upholstery, and installing a 454ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission.The 454ci V8 was built to LS6 450 specification.Features included rectangular-port cylinder heads, emissions equipment, a performance intake manifold, and a solid-lifter camshaft.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec five-speed manual transmission.The car is equipped with a 12-bolt Positraction rear axle with 3.36:1 gearing.A stainless steel fuel tank and a Pypes stainless steel dual exhaust system have been installed.The body was removed from the frame, mounted to a rotisserie, and repainted in the factory Tuxedo Black with white.The white hood and trunk stripes are under the clearcoat, and the power-operated convertible top, weatherstripping, and seals have been replaced during the refurbishment.Additional features include a cowl-induction hood with pins, “SS” badging, and chrome bumpers.Boyd Coddington 18″ and 19″ wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich tires. QA1 adjustable coilovers have been installed at all four corners.Refurbishment work included rebuilding the power steering system and replacing front suspension components and the spare tire and jack housed in the trunk.An interior refresh included vapor barriers behind the door panels, new front seat foam, and a replacement dash pad, black vinyl upholstery, and AM/FM radio.Additional features include a center console, black “SS 454” embroidered floor mats, and manual-crank windows.A three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges.The five-digit odometer shows 1,000 miles, and the total mileage is unknown.
